Welcome to the Art Tree Clubhouse! Here is how to join. All you have to do is ask permission from your guardians first and then draw a picture of a tree. Then have your guardian take a picture of it and email it to arttreedesigns@hotmail.com. We will put your drawing in the Clubhouse Art Gallery. Gardening

Today we transplanted our flowers in flower pots.  My flowers became 4 and a half inches tall.  I love planting!

This is me with my sunflowers.  Look how BIG they are now!

This is my sister with her daisies.  They got BIG too.

This is my brother with his poppies.  They got BIG too.

This is my sister with her turtle gloves on.  We got the same gloves.

Here we are sitting on the potting soil bags.

My sister and I are putting soil in the pot.

Now we are putting  in the sunflower seeds.  I heart planting!!

Now I am transplanting my sunflowers.
Hip hip hooray!!!! A garden finally!!

Claire is putting in her daisies seeds.

We did it!  We did it!  Yay!

I am raking.  I made a BIG pile!  It was fun!  There was a ton!!!
My mom helped and Claire helped too!

While I was bagging the leaves Claire
was making a big mud puddle...

...to splash in!

Evan was sitting there watching us.

I  filled 4 bags.  It was a lot of work!

We took the bags of leaves to the garbage cans.

We have a new indoor plant!!  It is basil.  My mom wants to make a dish that comes with tomato, basil, and mozzarella.

Today also was Earth Day.  It was fun!

Book Review

Darth Vader and son by Jeffrey Brown.  I like this book because it is really funny.  My Grandma gave me this book.  Now I am going to tell you some parts of the book.  When Luke sees a Wookiee he hides behind Vader's back and then Vader says, "You don't have to be scared, see its just a Wookiee."  Now for another part.  Luke and  Vader are going somewhere and then Luke says, "Are we there yet?"  Then Vader says, "Not yet."  Now for the next page.  Luke and Vader are at the toy store and they find a Jar Jar Binks toy and then Vader says, "This isn't the toy you're looking for."  Then Luke interrupts and says,  "Yes, it is."  Those are some of my favorite pages.  It's cool to see Luke and Darth Vader together.  This is a book that you definitely want to read!  Miso so happy to read this book!

Day Four!

Our plants are growing!  The second day we woke up and started to see them.  It was awesome!!!!  They probably grew a little while they were sleeping.  Look how BIG they are now.  All that we gave to the seeds one day was one thing of water and then they sprouted.  We also make sure that they are getting lots of sun.  By the window is the sun.  That is Yoda from Star Wars for there is sun by the window.

This is my Mom's favorite tree.  It has been growing its leaves back.  She likes to look at it through the kitchen window when she is doing the dishes.

I'll be sure to update you on how the flowers are growing.

Flower Kits

I like planting! It is really fun! We got these boxes of seeds in our Easter baskets.  The first flower is called a poppy and it belongs to my little brother. The next flower is called a daisy and it belongs to my little sister. The last flower is called a sunflower and it belongs to me.  My favorite flower is the sunflower.  Someday I want to be a sunflower grower.

This is my sister with her daisy seeds.

This is me with my sunflower seeds.

This is my brother with his poppy seeds.

The instructions said to place the medium pellet in a bowl or cup. Add approximately 3 Tablespoons of lukewarm water.

We let the pellet absorb the water.

It was fun watching the pellet grow.

Even Evan thought it was fun! Until he took a big bite out of it. Maybe he thought it was chocolate cake.

We put the soil in our pots.  Here I am holding my sunflower seeds.

Here is Claire holding her daisy seeds.

We placed no more than 6 seeds on top and lightly pressed into the growing medium. We saved the rest of the seeds for our garden.

Evan likes to play with dirt.

We keep our plants by the kitchen window where it is really sunny. We have to keep them damp and check on them every day. I will update you every week on how they are growing. When they get 3 inches we transplant them into our garden.  Hope you have fun planting too!

Play-Doh Birds

I like birds!  The baby ones are cute.  My little sister made the yellow, orange and pink one.  I made the pink, yellow and blue one.  My little sister also made little cute baby birds.  I made little baby bird eggs.  Do you also like birds especially the baby ones?  I named mine Mrs. Birdy.  My little sister named her bird Mrs. Tart and she also named her baby birds.  The orange eyed one is named Soey Jojo.  The blue eyed baby bird is name Bluey Blueberry.  The pink eyed baby bird is named Sophia Zomba.  My favorite baby bird is Bluey.  What is your favorite one?  I like playing with Play-Doh!  It is so fun you could actually create anything with Play-Doh.  You can squish it and roll it and turn into balls.  You sculpt it and just use your imagination.
